The Club is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of at least five directors,
four of whom (president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer)
must be elected at each AGM. Additional directors may be appointed by the Board.
The Board of Directors consists of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 15 directors.
Generally speaking, all of the Board's business is dealt with at the Board level
through the assistance of an intermediary committee structure consisting of the
following standing committees:
Communications (Scuttlebutt, Web Site, Club brochure, media contacts)
Membership (applications, initiation,
Scuttlebutt [our newsletter], hospital visitations, etc.)
Club services (food, bar, entertainment, marketing, Club functions)
Finance (treasurer, taxes, fund-raising)
Property (Club premises and equipment)
Military Affairs (liason with military, ship visits)
In 1987 the Club assigned its historic and military assets and memorabilia
to the Crow's Nest Military Artifacts Association Inc.,a separate entity constituted
for the purposes of preserving and maintaining custody of such assets and memorabilia.
The Artifacts Association is also governed by a board of directors.
