The Crow's Nest was founded on January 27, 1942. Located adjacent to the War Memorial, St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador, it is a private Club which carries with it a long and varied tradition. The Club, in operation for almost 60 years, has become a museum of sorts, housing hundreds of military artifacts.
The picture displays the original
building of the Crow's Nest, where the Club is still located
today. |

Fellow Crows, I am delighted to be your new President, and thank Dick Hyslop for his two eventful years in the chair as President. Well done Dick.
Some years ago, John Andrews, our excellent Past Chair, invited me to join the Board and I accepted, immediately aware of the sense of club continuity being a strong incentive as his late father, Rex Andrews, proposed me for membership 43 years ago.
I expect most of our past board members will continue to serve and indeed, our hugely successful ‘Corvette’s Wake’ on February 10th 2007 proved the executive team and membership work well together. Many people have suggested that the ‘Wake’ be an annual event and, with your support, I hope that will happen. No Deposit Bingo Bonus

For the future, which will include a contribution from the Crow’s Nest towards the 100th Anniversary of the Canadian Navy in 2010, I pledge to work toward a continued vibrant club, accepting change but respectful of our historical connection, as long as we have a lot of fun doing it together.
Should you have any comments or wish to contact the Club please feel free
to E-Mail us at:crowsnoc@nf.aibn.com or phone us at (709) 753-6927.
John Moyes ,
President
